As of 16 December 2025, the Alliance Development Trust (ADT) distributed dry ration packs to 549 flood-affected households across Trincomalee, Nuwara Eliya, Gampola, Batticaloa, Diwulapitiya, Katana, Ja-Ela, and Minuwangoda.

The support prioritised 92 women-headed families in Trincomalee, along with 118 families in Nuwara Eliya, 103 in Gampola, 67 in Batticaloa, and 169 families in Diwulapitiya, Katana, Ja-Ela, and Minuwangoda.

In addition, 180 families received hygiene packs and safe drinking water to meet urgent health and sanitation needs.

Each ration pack was thoughtfully prepared to meet immediate food, hygiene, and household needs. The packs included essential food items such as rice, wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, tea, lentils, soya, Samaposha, salt, chilli powder, and turmeric to help families meet daily nutritional requirements. Hygiene supplies including toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary napkins, bathing soap, washing powder, and Dettol were provided to support personal and household cleanliness in challenging post-flood conditions.

To assist families who had lost basic household belongings, kitchen utensils such as aluminum curry pots, spoons, and plates were also included, enabling safe meal preparation. This intervention aimed to ease immediate hardship, strengthen food security, and uphold the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of vulnerable households as they continue their recovery after the floods.
