A Day of Joy for Every Child
This year, Children’s Day 2024 was celebrated with laughter, music, and countless smiles as the Alliance Development Trust (ADT) hosted two joyful programmes, reaching over 100 children from diverse communities across Sri Lanka.
On September 28th, seventy-six children from Badowita, Aubern Side, Borella, and Wellawatta were welcomed to a fun-filled day at Jaya Nada Hall. The event was brimming with energy — from lively group games to cheerful singing sessions that brought children together in laughter and friendship. A wholesome meal kept every little heart nourished and content, while a captivating magic show filled the room with wonder and excitement. More than just entertainment, the day became a celebration of belonging — a reminder that joy grows strongest when shared in community.
On October 1st, ADT dedicated a special morning to children with disabilities at Navodaya Special School in Moratuwa. The event celebrated every child’s individuality through singing, dancing, painting, and games that invited smiles all around. Adding warmth to the celebration, 46 ADT staff members joined hands to spend the day with the children — sharing laughter, creativity, and unforgettable moments.
Navodaya Special School continues to play a vital role in rehabilitating and empowering children with physical and mental disabilities, helping them grow with confidence and inclusion.

Together, these celebrations reflected ADT’s deep commitment to nurturing every child’s right to joy, dignity, and love. Because every child deserves not just a day of happiness — but a lifetime of hope.
