Relief to Mavadivembu Chenkaladi - Batticaloa

350 families from Vakarai, Kaddaiparichchan, Sampur and Muttur East sought refuge in the Mavadivembu Sittandy camp for Internally Displaced Persons.  These people live in tents but due to the heavy February rains, the tents were flooded with water up to one foot high. Many children were affected by waterborne diseases.

Alliance Development Trust provided dry ration food packs which included canned fish, milk powder, salt, sugar, biscuits, curry powders and dry fish to all 350 families.  These rations will be enough for 1 week.
