Hygiene Seminar conducted at Devanampiyatissapura Maha Vidiyalaya, Anuradhapura

 A hygiene seminar was held at the Devanampiyatissapura Maha Vidyalaya in Anuradhapura on the 3rd of November 2009. This seminar was attended by 275 children, along with 50 parents. This programme was conducted for the children in the primary section of the school. A Health Education officer from the Education Department was also present this day. The children were taught about the importance of good health.
‘I think this is one of the best programmes held in this school’: these were thoughts were shared by the principal and the primary teachers. The teachers gave of their fullest corporation towards the conducting of this programme.
Another seminar of the same nature was held for the senior students of the same school. This was also conducted on the 3rd of November with 175 persons participating. A representative of the STD Hospital in Anuradhapura was also present at this seminar. Water vessels were distributed to 10 primary classes in this school with the closing of the seminar.
