Purification Unit in Galle

27 March 2008 - The Kohomanadeniya community in the Galle district is home to 308 families. This community was faced with much difficulty in obtaining safe drinking water. Through the coordination of the ADT South Regional office and the National Office in Colombo, site assessments, water tests & community surveys were conducted in Kohomadadeniya throughout a period of 4 months. Thereafter the community was given a purification unit in partnership with WMI (Water Missions International) and ADT/NCEASL.

On 27^th March 2008 the purification unit was ceremoniously opened by representatives of WMI, ADT/NCEASL, Divisional Secretariat, representatives from the Government and the village temple, in the presence of the entire Kohomadadeniya community.
