Palika is a 52 year old woman with four children.
“On that day [when the Tsunami struck] we were working on the beach. All of a sudden huge waves appeared and washed away all our nets, boats, Rs.50,000 worth of fish that was left to dry and our homes. We ran for our lives. We were in shock.”
Alliance Development Trust has helped Palika restart her dry fish business which generates a monthly income of Rs.5,000, sufficient to support her family.
“This was a great relief for us because we suffered for more than ten months. Now we are back on our feet and I wish to thank you immensely for helping us.”
