Kamaladasan

kamaladasan

Kamaladasan is a farmer by profession and has been farming for the past 20 years. Kamaladasan, his wife and 5 children were living a good life till the Tsunami took everything away from them. Suddenly they became refugees in the Methodist Church Batticaloa.

“I am very old and weak but with the help of my son in-laws, we built a small house with Aluminium sheets and started a small agriculture business to look after my family. During this time I got to know ADT from the Christian fellowship Church where I worship. ADT gave us a hand spray to increase the productivity of our business. Though my husband has been a farmer for 20 years we never had a hand spray. We used to do all our work manually. It was very hard for old people like us to do work manually and the production too was not so fruitful. “Now the hand spray has made it very easy for us. It has also increased the production and the harvest” said Kamaladasan’s wife. “Our income increased by Rs. 2000/= within the first two weeks after we got the hand spray and I’m very thankful to ADT.  Because of ADT I can now look after my family without any problem. “I can also die peacefully as my family is in a stable position. I pray everyday that ADT will go from strength to strength for the work that they do and for helping poor people like us” said Kamaladasan.
