Jayapragash

Jayapragash 24 a resident of Kalvanikuda, was a school boy at the time of the Tsunami. All his siblings (1 Brother & 2 Sisters) died as the disastrous waves crashed in. He lost all his property and was left alone with his sick parents with no income to live on and no way to pay school fees. Therefore Jayapragash decided to stop his studies and look after his parents and continue the business which his brother was doing, so that he could provide for the family.

Jayapragash’s brother had a plastic good store in the Batticaloa market. But he didn’t have any income to buy new goods and to develop the business. “At this point ADT came to our aid. It was truly a God send. ADT gave us a grant of Rs.25, 000/= to develop the business. Now I earn a profit of Rs.300/= per day and I can look after my sick parents as well. I have goods worth Rs.20, 000/= in my shop” said Jayapragash. “Finally I would like to thank ADT for helping me to bring up my family if not for them we would be helpless God bless you all and may your organisation grow from strength to strength” said Jayapragash thanking ADT
