Winson Silva is the first patient admitted to the Leprosy hospital 48 years ago. Although he is married and has a son & a daughter, the family has disowned & deserted him. He is fully cured now but has no place to go to. ADT helped Winson start a coir product business which gives him an income of LKR 6,000 per month. As he has got a good market for his products, he hopes to increase productivity by joining with other patients who are also engaged in the same business. As a senior inmate of the hospital he commands respect & is well accepted by all other inmates.
