Somapala

Somapala is visually impaired from birth. He lives with his son & his family. His son finds it very difficult to support his family & Somapala with his meager earnings. With a loan provided by ADT, Somapala bravely started a cloth business. He purchased cloth/textiles in bulk from Seeduwa, a nearby town and sells it in the neighboring villages. As he walks from village to village he is accompanied by an assistant. Somapala earns LKR 4000 per month from his business venture as he contributes to his family’s daily needs.
