Premadasa contracted leprosy over 30 years ago. He is a widower with four children, but they do not visit him. Although he is completely cured from leprosy he lives in the hospital. To start life again and a livelihood for himself, Premadasa was interested in a shoe repair project. ADT gave him a loan with which he bought the necessary tools & material. At first he started work from within the hospital and earned LKR 2000 per month. Premadasa is hopeful of increasing his income to LKR 4000 as he expects business from outside the hospital premises as well.
