Peter

Peter and his wife both contracted leprosy & were hospitalized for treatment. They are sad as their three children do not visit them. As a means of income they both started making envelopes which are sold at pharmacies & medical centers. Initially they produced 30 envelopes per day, but with the loan provided by ADT they bought the necessary material and now produce up to 150 envelopes per day. These envelopes are sold at Rs.2.50 per envelope. Their joint income is LKR 2000 – 2200 per month. The hospital doctor helps them to market the envelopes through his medical contacts.
