Letchuman

Letchuman is confined to a wheel chair as he lost both his legs due to a train accident. During this time he also contacted leprosy. His wife is deceased and his only child, a son, has abandoned him due to his illness. Letchuman is skilled in repairing electrical items. ADT gave him a loan to purchase electrical equipment necessary for his business. He has placed a notice advertising his services inside the hospital premises. Sometimes he goes out of the hospital to attend to repair works. He earns approximately LKR 3000 – 3500 per month which covers his basic needs.
