Kamalawathy

Kamalawathi is visually impaired by birth and is a widow with 4 children. She lives with her daughter and son in-law who are both employed, but their joint income is hardly sufficient to meet the needs of their family. Kamalawathi was keen to support her daughter. ADT gave her a loan to start a ready made clothes business. She buys the clothes in bulk at low prices and sells them from her home. Through this business she earns LKR 4000 per month which she shares with her daughter’s family.
