Damith

Damith was born with a disability in his feet. At 34 years he is still unmarried and is the sole bread winner for 4 family members including his parents. Due to poverty he did not have a proper education and has been engaged in repairing bicycles from a very young age. Damith started his own repair shop and spare parts shop and has rented out a small space along the main Galle – Matara highway. Though he is disabled he is very brave, industrious and ready to face any of life’s challenges. Initially he earned LKR 2000 – 3000 monthly. Now with ADT’s help and the vantage urban location of his shop he earns LKR 12000 – 15000 per month.
