Our Goal

Uplifting the vulnerable persons and families through sustainable livelihood assistance to empower them to upgrade their life standard

Objective

Uplift the vulnerable persons and families through sustainable livelihood assistance by empowering them to develop their business endeavors in order to upgrade their standard of living.

So far more than 10,000 direct families (Indirectly 45,000 persons) benefited through our livelihood program.

Alliance Development Trust (ADT) completed diversity of livelihood projects. The income generated by the families enabled them to purchase and produce through community participation efforts when beneficiaries get an income, they feel that they have earned their own to meet their own day to day expenses.
What we achieved through our program (Feb 2005 to June 2009).

    • Provision of grants to rural community – distribution of seed capital and livelihood equipments such as boat, catamaran, distribution to more than 8000 families - (House hold business).
    • Assisted 3000 clients on micro finance scheme - Disbursing loans, recovering, saving, other services etc.
    • Capacity improved by various trainings such as microfinance development, financial management, business development, microenterprise, food processing etc.

    Livelihood Programme

Micro income generating livelihood activities would be introduced to target beneficiary families ensuring them a sustainable income with profit margins adequate to meet the basic household needs. This programme would assist people affected through floods, cyclones, fire & other natural disasters as well as those who faced personal emergencies such as accidents, illnesses, desertion and divorce.

The purpose of this program is to enhance the investment capacity of low income families in the target villages through micro income generating activities which would ensure sustainable income with profit margins adequate to meet the basic household needs.
Although providing financial assistance and life style opportunities require large sums of money, we are confident that this programme would enhance the household incomes of the programme beneficiaries.
