HIV & AIDS Training of trainers for prison Guards
17 September 2010 On 17th September 2010 a HIV /AIDS awareness programme was held for the students and staff of Dayaraba Tamil Vidyalaya. A large gathering of 210 students and teachers attended this programme. The lectures were conducted in both Tamil and Sinhala. The lecturers were Mr. Sarath Munasinghe, Public Health Inspector of the area, Pastor Poobalan, Pastor Anandaraj and a representative from ADT. Pastor Poobalan and Pastor Anandaraj work as volunteers with ADT’s Project Positive team. The audience listened to the lectures very attentively. At the end of the programme hand bills and instruction books on HIV/AIDS were distributed amongst the children. 5 students were selected to head a committee to
