HIV & AIDS awareness seminar for the school Children

On the 19th of June, 150 students from grades 6 -12 attended a seminar on HIV & AIDS conducted by ADT’s Project Positive coordinator. As teachers from the school were also present, the children did not feel comfortable to interact freely at the seminar. ADT used documentary videos on HIV & AIDS to support the awareness programme.
At the end of the seminar milk packets were given to the children as a nutrition program. HIV & AIDS awareness coloring books and brochures were also given to the children.
Success Stories:-
A student from grade 10 gave us her view on the seminar. “I already knew a few topics addressed at this seminar but I didn’t have any understanding about the disease and after affects of HIV virus. Now I have a better understanding about the topics I didn’t know”.
