Pushpakumara

Pushpakumara is a member of the Rantharu Children's Club in Ahangama. The children’s worker noticed that Pushpakumara was frequently missing club meetings. When they inquired in to his absence they found two reasons for his absence. One reason was because his family was going through a lot of financial issues. The other reason was that the friends whom he was associating had a negative influence on him. During this time he had also stopped going to school.

As these reasons came to light the staff took time to talk with him about the disadvantages of not going to school. They also explained how associating good friends can have a good influence on his life. Pushpakumara took this advise and now attends school once again.
