Kirushnaverni

Kirushnaverni hails from a family of 3 girls and 1 boy and is a grade 9 student at the Holy Family Convent in Jaffna and she lives in a small village named Kambanaimoham. This is her story;

“My father is a labourer and my family is very poor. Because we didn’t have enough money we couldn’t go to school frequently. My family was facing a lot of problems. During this time ADT came to our village and started a children’s programme in our village. Almost all the children from the village joined the Change Makers Club and they benefited so much from it. Through the Change Makers Club I was encouraged to go to school. No one encouraged me like this before. ADT encouraged us to be what we want to be never giving up on our dreams”.
