Harsha Kumara

13 year old Harsha Kumara  (Galle) who had stopped going to school for reasons which he was not very happy to disclose. “Things that happened at home discouraged me from going to school” was all that Harsha was willing to share. One of the workers of the Change Makers Club in Galle inquired from Harsha, why he didn’t want to go to school, and then later spoke with his parents. “She (the children’s worker) was very kind and explained why it was important to go to school. She spoke to my parents as well and got their commitment to send me to school. Now I am going to school” said Harsha happily. “Now I understand why it is important to go to school. My parents are also taking a keener interest in my schooling and are supporting me. I really want to thank ADT, they took such a lot of interest in my school life, now I am back in school with my friends”.
